School has started, and so it is time for the first party of the year!

Get ready to time travel. Grab your fake ID, or get an older sibling to buy you a case of Stroh's and some peach schnapps.... and since it is 1987 we're going to, you probably shouldn't count on a designated driver... though two reliable rides will be there. You see me behind the red car with the long coat and the Bauhaus shirt? Yeah, weird, right? To my immediate left is Quinton and two to my right is Geno! They will be at the set.

As for the music, I am approaching this as if I was actually trying to cater to one of those Friday night parties in 1987. It will consist only of music that I knew at that point, and it will be catered to that crowd. That means there is gonna be a lot of rock of the era, and the more adventurous stuff will be slyly mixed in, because I don't wanna get my ass kicked outta the pit! Still, it is gonna be fun, and I hope you join!

Live Set: Listen With Looch

  Stream the Show Download the Music I am lucky enough to have a great radio station in my town: 89.3 The Current. It is a public radio "Adult Alternative" station, similar to KEXP Seattle. I listen several hours a day and the highlight was always the 2pm to 6pm shift, occupied (until recently) by Mary Lucia (The "Looch") One of the nice things about The Current is that they (unlike most radio stations) let their hosts choose some of their own music. After listening to Mary for a few years, I can always tell when a song is one that she added to the mix. She is a rocker and a 70s kid, like (most of) us. So for example, between songs by Billie Eilish and Father John Misty, she drops in AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" Those are the surprises that made her show so fun to listen to...
