Hey gang, Colin here. I'd first like to thank Chris, and you all, for extending the invite to put together a set. Chris and I have been buddies through work for almost four years now, and have been swapping tunes back and forth since the day we met. Chris and I were hanging out a few weeks back and had the bright idea to build each other playlists that feature tracks released during our birth years and months. The first 45 or so minutes of my set are going to feature songs released in November 1969, Chris' birth year and month; truly a golden era for rock and roll. From there, the set will shift and feature tracks that I adore, and that hopefully are new to your ears. I toyed with the idea of doing a more thematic set, but being new to the group (Save the JJ Cale 17 I created a few years back) I figured it'd be best to throw out a tracklist that flows through a few different genres/artists that have caught my ear recently. I hope you'll tune in, drop out, and enjoy what you hear. Cheers, and see you on 3/3 with a cocktail in hand!

Live Set: Listen With Looch

  Stream the Show Download the Music I am lucky enough to have a great radio station in my town: 89.3 The Current. It is a public radio "Adult Alternative" station, similar to KEXP Seattle. I listen several hours a day and the highlight was always the 2pm to 6pm shift, occupied (until recently) by Mary Lucia (The "Looch") One of the nice things about The Current is that they (unlike most radio stations) let their hosts choose some of their own music. After listening to Mary for a few years, I can always tell when a song is one that she added to the mix. She is a rocker and a 70s kid, like (most of) us. So for example, between songs by Billie Eilish and Father John Misty, she drops in AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" Those are the surprises that made her show so fun to listen to...
